I also have I am trained as an integrative and transpersonal psychotherapist. Integrative psychotherapy means that the therapist uses different elements from a variety of approaches to tailor the work to the client's needs.
The psychodynamic tradition in psychotherapy focuses on understanding how the client’s past, particular their early life, can be internalised and affect their present. Bringing awareness to what we carry inside us from the past can then help us to move on and to heal some of our pain and wounding.
The humanistic approach places emphasis on helping clients to make use of their own inner resources to overcome difficulties and to realise their potential, this process is particularly promoted through a non-judgemental and empathetic relationship between the client and their therapist.
In the existentialist approach, fundamental questions of who we are and the challenges we face as human beings living in an often difficult and painful world are explored.
The transpersonal tradition seeks to provide positive, life-enhancing answers to the basic questions of life which we all face, emphasising the subtle connections that exist between us all and the potential for transformation and growth which we all have.
After 6 years of training as psychotherapist I was awarded an MA in Integrative and Transpersonal Psychotherapy by the University of Northampton, through CCPE (Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Education, Warwick Crescent, London W2 6NE).
I also have a Diploma in Transpersonal Integrative Couple Counselling and Psychotherapy, awarded through CCPE.
I have been seeing psychotherapy clients for the past 12 years.
I am a trained EMDR practitioner. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a well respected and widely practised treatment for traumatic symptoms and relational problems relating to earlier difficult experiences. I offer both Standard Protocol and Attachment-Informed EMDR.
My fees are £70 during the day and £80 for sessions after 6pm.
I offer a limited number of concessions for people on low incomes.
